Is this bullying? How can I help my friend?

I have a very good friend, but we do not go to the same school. Recently, she has been telling me all this bad stuff about what people do to her at her school.

She started at this school in May, and she's in Year 7. She has been bullied before, as well. In the first couple of weeks, my friend was bullied - this girl who, as my friend says, has changed since then and is better now, said that my friend reminded her of a witch, that she looked like a witch and such. So, my friend, let's call her "Grace", became best friends with this other girl, and let's name her "Rachel". Rachel and Grace were both very quiet until one girl, who I will call "Felicity", came in and started hanging out with them. She took Rachel away from Grace and the whole friendship group has become very close except for Grace. She is not included in a lot and often feels left out. Because Grace is very smart for her age (12), she was arguing with them, on how she felt, and used very big words. Later, she was accused of trying to make the other girl's feel small by using big words that they didn't understand. Grace was accused of being judgemental because Felicity got her belly button pierced and has gone out with 15 guys in one year (Felicity is 13). Grace didn't do anything but explain how she did not want to get her belly pierced. Rachel has turned against her and the other day, Grace was trying to join in a conversation and when she did, they looked at her like she was crazy and they said to Grace that was she said was retarded, which was very mean. Felicity has been very negative to Grace, telling Grace that her new haircut looked "fat" on her, and telling Grace to "grow up" and to "suck shit". She's been lying about Grace and USING Grace as a personal psychologist. She called Grace "dumb" when Grace was in hospital with appendicitis. Felicity also said that this other girl, Taylor, said she was some "short fatty who wanted to know how to skate", which turned out to be false. I am a lot older than Grace, but i do not like how this girl is treating her. Grace is not my friend's real name, mind you. Today, this girl, Marli, was handing out lollies but excluded Grace in the process. What I find mean is that Rachel said she didn't like Felicity, but is now her best friend, ditching Grace. They never wait for Grace at the lockers or out to recess, they never include her in their conversation. In fact, this is what they say when Grace asks what they are talking about: "Grace, why do you have to ask about EVERYTHING? It's really none of your business". One time, they were laughing about something, Grace asked what it was, then what happened was that they were laughing at a photo of Grace, where she looked unflattering in, and they put the photo on Facebook, refusing to take it down. They beg for money from Grace and when Grace went to the mall with Felicity, Felicity made Grace spend $60 on her. Grace has been very stern with them, telling them that she doesn't appreciate them excluding her and leaving her out, but they never listen and accuse her of 'victimizing' them, which again, is a word they learned of Grace herself. When Grace tells Felicity things that make Grace sad, Felicity just laughs, which is mean. There is a lot more as well.

What should Grace do?

PS3 has stopped recognising my external HDD?

I have always used 2 external HDD on my ps3 (one with mains power and the other gets powered by USB), both are in the fat32 format and I have never had a problem with either. I use one to store movies and one for music. The last few months I have not been able to access these drives from the PS3 yet the computer will pick them up. They won't even show up on the XMB anymore and I don't remember making any changes other than the usual firmware upgrades. Has this been removed at all? Is there any way to fix this as I have enjoyed using my PS3 as my media centre for a long time. I can plug in a USB pendrive and it will work. Any help will be greatly appreciated, I miss my music :(
Hi thanks for answering. I have checked on the computer and it works fine. In disk managment it says it is FAT32 and it had worked on the PS3 previously for about a year. Might have to try reformating them just don't get how they would both stop working at the same time.

Do most men want an old-school stay at home wife but are afraid to say anything?

I ask because my husband and i have been married 5 years and i have held down a good job and brought in a decent income for all 5 of those years. I was raised in a family where women work even after having kids, it's the norm, my mom,grandma etc..all worked their whole lives. But now i am currently p/g with our first baby due in Dec, and also my husband is military so we will be moving to Alaska for his work in Feb of next year. My husband and i have looked into my working once we move up north and while it is possible for me to transfer from the hospital i work at now to one in Anchorage there are many factors that will make it difficult. We will only have one car at first due to the military only pays to move one vehicle, i won't have a daycare line dup because it's a new city and i don't know anyone, and also i will still be on maternity leave when we move. My husband mentioned to me very quietly one day that he would not mind if i took 6 months to a year or so off to stay home and take care of the baby. He even mentioned that it would be nice to be on the same schedule (we currently work different hours) and he would like me to be home when he gets off work, cook dinner etc..I have no problem with that kind of stuff it's just that the idea of not working scares the pants off me, i have always worked. My husband has never said anything about liking the idea of me being a stay home mom and so it kind of threw me off when he mentioned it. Do most men want a wife to stay home and care for the kids and do household stuff as long as they actually do a good job and don't sit on their butts watching tv all day? I fully intend to go back to work eventually i have a job i love and i make ok money at it. But my husband feels a couple years or so at home would be good for us and our baby. I agree but im scared to death of staying home. Do most men mean it when they say stuff like this?
My husband like shis military career and we have excellent pay and benefits from it. The lifestyle may be a bit harder but we have never paid a medical bill and always had food and a roof over our heads where as civilians in this economy have not been so lucky. And i hate to tell you this Lawerence but there is authority in every job not just military. I don't think you've had a REAL job if you think the military is to authorotative.lol..

suppose we date at a restaurant or a cafe. how would it happen?? would the girl tell me: "hey, would you like to come back with me at my appartment?"

I mean, I've triedd to imagine how it would happen but can't imagine it !

A. How long will the object be in the air?

B. What is its impact velocity?
51.7 m/s <--- the answer i got. the professor however, wrote 51.7m/s at an angle of 55.9o below the horizontal. where did he get the 55.9o????

C. What is its range?
166.5 m

D. What is the peak height of the projectile?
I don't know how to figure this out.

Can my ex boyfriend keep me from having any contact with my daughter?

I have been in a battle with my ex bf, i just want to see my daughter. He has had her the past 9 months and she is turning 1 today, We had her for 3 months then we split up. i also have a son with him. i have our son and he has our daughter, i have been trying for the past 9 months to see my daughter, at first he would just ignore me and shut me out from seeing my daughter, recently we talk and he keeps promising that i can take her or the day but then when it comes to meeting he doesnt answer his phone, my sons birthday was july 24th and i let him take our son for 4 days because i want our kids to be around eachother, i figured if i showed i trusted him with both kids that he would atleast let me take my daughter, but he still hasnt, he gets my hopes up and promises me but stands me up at the end of the day. I have made countless attempts to see my daughter however he hasn't once tried seeing his son , What do i do, i've seen her 3 months out of her whole life and i want her to know who i am, Can he really keep me from having my daughter if we have no court order and he signed the birth certificate, I live in wisconsin as well
I have no idea where he lives, he wont tell me, yes i did get to see my daughter when i dropped my son off but only for a few minutes, then he promises that i will be able to take her the next week, but nothing happens
He is a fit parent, but he has been ignoring all my attempts to try and see my daughter, and he hasn't made any attempts to see his son, im the one thats been pushing that our kids need to know eachother. if i decide to take him to court that should work in my favor. Thanks for your help everyone

Find after what time the ball is first at height of 12 m.
I figured it out but it doesn't make sense because he answer says 2, but in order to get 2 I obviously have to put the square root sign over -t^2 (is that possible by the way?) and on the other side (which was 4)

Similarly in 2 -
The sum, S, of the first n positive integers is given by the formula: S= n/2 (n + 1), find the number of positive integers needed to give a total of 178?
The answer is apparently 12?

I've noticed that some postings (on Craigslist) will have a long message at the bottom that has nothing to do with the post itself. At first I thought they were tags, but it just doesn't make sense. Does anyone know what they're for?

Should I make a complaint against the parcel deliverer?

I live in a flat so I was expecting the person to come within 8-12 as they told me. The person came at 9 and rang the bell twice so I shouted hello like 4 times and the person didn't say anything. Just left and left one of these delivery notes.

Am I supposed to just open the door to random strangers or did they expect me to go downstairs or something?
The person never replied so how was I to know it wasn't just some random person?

Older women, how to deal with getting less attractive?

I have been going to a dance class for 2 years. At different moments lots of guys were coming after and towards me. Now they are mostly polite and friendly but clearly are much more interested in the younger ones.
example: 2 men around my age (40s) and me and a good woman friend who's 28 were talking about dance workshops and the men were only looking at my young friend when they were talking, surely unconsciously. i felt like i didn't wholely exist.

i have heard this, that it's like older women are unseen. (rarely main roles in movies, etc)
i am in late 40s and sometimes am taken for much younger as i dance and am pretty athletic-this summer one of my nephew's friends (23) thought i was 37 and was slightly coming on to me-flattering but not helpful.

but in any case-if i am still sometimes physically attractive now, maybe depending on the day, clothes, attitude, etc, surely our physical attractiveness declines as we reach 50, 60, 70.

how to deal with this?

Being pregnant and going to college part time while working full time, too much?

I am currently 22 weeks and i work 40 hrs a week at my job and go to college part time (4 hrs) after work. I am starting to feel overwhelmed, during my 1st and early 2nd trimester i handled it ok i was pretty sick but i dealt. As i get closer to my 3rd trimester starting i am getting exhausted more and more. My brain is fuzzy, my concentration stinks, i just flunked an exam yesterday and i studied it just was like nothing stuck. I have always been a go getter with school, work, wifely duties etc..But it seems p/g is kicking my butt. Would it be coping out if i dropped my class and quit school til after the babies here or should i stick it out? My husband says he'll support me either way but won't tell me what i should do and i'm just not sure. How do you ladies feel about it?
I'm going to stop working to be a SAHM after the babies born so i can't quit work til my maternity leave. it's not possible.

Hi, I've moved to a friends place for awhile and I was wondering how much browsing you can do with a 1gb a month internet cap?

At home I usually have an unlimited cap, so I'm not really certain what I can do.
I really don't want to go over the 1gb cap because this isn't my house.

I know I can't do much (if any) downloading but I'm wondering if some sites use up more bandwidth?
I like to use youtube and gaiaonline but if they're to heavy I'd be okay just using the internet for study.

Also if anyone has any tips on keeping your usage down it'd be appreciated.

You actually are invading them but instead of calling it that. You say you're their to help fix their country. Imagine if they came too your country, told you they were their to help and took all your wealth and started setting up army bases everywhere.

is it 8.54 seconds?

B. What is its impact speed with the ground,
is this the same as Vf? If so... 51.7 m/s

C. At what time will the object be halfway between the starting point and the ground?

D. At what position will the ball be when half the total time has passed?



so far this is what i figured out...

x = 84 m
Vf = 51.7 m/s
Vo = +32 m/s
t = 8.54 sec
a = +9.8 m/s^2
Vavg = i think... is 41.85 m/s
be great if someone can show me the process to find out the answers because i need to learn it too...

my daughter us 6 years old and ever now and then vomits for no reason we all eat the same food and?

Including my other 2 children who don't ever throw up. I have noticed it much more lately and passed it off as sick stomach. But I am worried now. Should I be? The other day she woke up in the middle of the night vomited and went back to bed, then she told me she did it at school. The tonight she did it again tried to get to the bathroom and didn't make it. I'm really worried she might have something wrong with her stomach. No fever she feels no drowsiness and always complains about being hungry right after she eats (especially tonight) 1 hour later after ignoring the question because she wanted candy I put her to bed and again throws up. I just don'tunderstandd it. we have no insurance but, if i can get some help here first maybe I will know what to do next,,,,,she always also complains at odd times that her legs hurt and she can't walk. It;s usually when shGTE's's out of bed or before bed. Now I think she is telling the truth as before I passed it off as not wanting to go to bed. Any answers for a confused mother?
The things is it's just sometimes....I mean i am a newish mom and this has never happened. Thanks for the help I will update when I take her to the doctor b/c I agree with you it might be acid reflex (which I have as well) or it could be something worse. Also, she is not EXTREMLY SICK she isn;t coughing or even saying she dosn't fell well it;s out of no where. Im scared that she isn;t eating at school then she comes home and eats and it's to much on her tiny stomach. Oh well I will take her to the doctors thanks again!
