Question: Making a Video game for Yourself?

Rpg maker is free, but it limits the things you can do. If you wanna make a real game for you that is completely original and not using chipsets or charsets that other people have already made you probably wont get very far by yourself unless you spend a very long time on it, and if you wanna make an original 3d rpg that is comepletly diferent and will take even longer. So if you just wanna make one for yourself for fun use rpg maker, everyone likes XP rpg maker, i myself never got used to it but i moved on to making real games that are orignal and i have my friends helping me.
