I recently met a guy who I thought was the answer to my prayers online at a religious dating website. We really had an amazing connection and wanted all the same things out of life. We had several long (5 hour) IM conversations and we sincerely thought we'd fallen in love.... He is in theatre and sings opera - he's a tenor. I've heard his singing in videos and it's beautiful and not girly. Then it was time for that big phone call.... when I heard his voice for the first time my jaw literally dropped. His speaking voice was an incredible turn-off. He sounds like a 50 year old woman from Boston. It's not just the sound of his voice - it's the way he talks - he really sounds "gay", just without the lisp part. He's 28 and in theatre and enjoys shopping. His parents are very very strict in the faith we practice which (UNFORTUNATELY and SADLY) is very intolerant of gays. I actually am just a little concerned that he might still be in the closet but is and might always be in denial because his father would disown him. I do not sense a masculine bone in his body other than the very strong attraction his professes for me. Do you think this man might be in the closet? I feel AWFUL for thinking this but I cannot ignore the signs. Or do you think there are just some really awesome straight guys out there who are very effeminate? At this point I've admitted to him that the only thing I can offer him is a friendship (no - I haven't told him why - do you think he knows?) (which I sincerely mean - I would be honored to be his friend) but that right now, I can't give him anything beyond that. I would still like to meet him to see if he's more masculine in person - I can't deny we really did share a wonderful connection in our IM conversations but I also can't deny what I feel when I hear his voice. What should I do? Ladies - be honest - have you ever been through this? Were you eventually able to look past it or were your worst suspicions confirmed? Straight and gay guys - what's your take? About a week ago, me and this boy met on this website called Chatroulette. We talked for hours and video chatted on Skype. He's 19 (freshman in college) and I'm 17 (junior in high school). We've exchanged phone numbers and have been talking a lot. We live 2 states away, too. We seem to have a lot in common and we are starting to like each other a lot.

Could this amount to something more?

What if you could go back to the past to the year of 1921 (in the United States) and leave a fully charged and functioning touch screen cellular phone on the floor right in front of some woman's house, and then return to the year of 2010, leaving you phone in 1921. Now imagine that woman stepping outside her house and finding that phone. As she picks it up, she accidentally presses a button the the screen lights up with all those magic colors, and the woman screams out loud and drops the phone to the floor (probably not a very good idea). But anyway, in 1921 there were no LCD displays of any kind! And so if somebody would have seen that phone, he or she would have been astonished by all those colors and the light weight of the device. And perhaps there were no bars back in the 1920's (no way to use that phone for communications), the phone would have still featured all of your favorite songs, your photos, your videos and so on. Do you think that if that woman would not have dropped that phone on the floor and did not scream, would she be able to figure out how to use it? Would she hide it from everybody else? And would she like it?

I would have loved to do such an experiment...

Oh....and time travel is impossible, I know.

I'm a single mom trying to raise 5 out of control children. How do I get them to listen to me and obey me?

I've been a single mom for the past six months, ever since my husband got arrested. My kids hate me; they've always liked their father better because he let them do whatever they wanted and he even encouraged them to spit on me and yell at me when they didn't get their way. They even blame me for him being in jail- I told them that he went to do a special job in another country, but they still resent me for him not being here.
My 12 year old is completely out of control. On several occasions I have caught him sleeping with a girl on the couch or in the garage or in my car. He throws his used condoms in my face, slaps me, curses at me when he doesn't get his way, and skips school to hang out with his friends- whom I believe are solely responsible for his bad behavior.
His younger siblings all are following in his footsteps, yelling at me and treating me like garbage. None of them respect me and I don't know who to blame at this point.
I've tried disciplining them by taking away their iPods and their video games and their cell phones, but that doesn't work because they either steal them from me or threaten to go on hunger strikes until they get their stuff back- leaving me no choice but to just give in to them.
I'm so overwhelmed and frustrated and I have no idea how to get my children to like me let alone listen to me and I'm freaking out all the time and I don't know who to blame anymore. Their father has been out of the picture so long and they loved him so much and i understand why they are restless but I need to know how to control them. What should I do?

& on Friday he came over to my house with his brother and cousin

Okay so me and my boyfriend love mw2. I play it almost everyday, and he plays it everyday. I don't have a problem with that, because mw2 is amazing! But whenever we aren't together and we talk on the phone guess what he's doing? Playing his ps3. It annoys me whenever he does this! I think its really rude, I'm not trying to sound selfish, but when I'm on the phone with you I feel like you should be listening to me because I'm listening to you. Long story short:

Long distance relationship for 3 months on the phone/video, did not meet in person yet. Instant connection, passion etc...

When we met in person for 4 days, amazing! I asked him how he felt, said never hurt me would never let me go. Can't find the same qualities in me in anyone else. I decided to drop out of school and plan on moving in with him in his state.

1 week later, we disagreed on having kids/type of marriage that he wanted, he then opened up a bunch of dating sites, ridiculed me. Forgave him.

1 week later when I was supposed to go fly and see him, he sounded moody. I asked him if he wanted to break up, he said NO, then yes, then I don't know, then deleted me off facebook and myspace. I call him 1 week later to solve the misunderstanding, he said we weren't compatible and wanted to remain friends. I got mad and said "no" to being friends, and moved on.

He continues on dating sites. 1 month 2 weeks later, calls me back and apologizes, says still has strong feelings for me and wants to try again. He then said wanted to move in with me, I got confused, and he still had dating profile. I wasn't sure if I was ready for him to move in ... next day opens up dating site ... I rat him out ... doesn't speak to me for 3 weeks but hasn't been on dating profile since.

3 weeks later, said he apologized. He felt like I didn't show him enough that I wanted him to come ... said to hang in there, not to leave him and that he thinks of me everyday and what it would be like to spend his days with him.

I changed my number and removed him from facebook.

So I don't know what to do now, is he using me? Does he really love me? Should I give him another chance?

Now he went back on his myspace claiming he is single, talking to a neighbor who I know is interested in him, going to this one particular cafe where singles meet, but on his profile picture he is wearing the promise ring I sent him when we first met around his neck.

IDK if i'm depressed.I'm 8mo preg. and cries all the time, well this week. my husband works long hours and doesn't check in with me during the day. He gets home about 1030pm and sits out in hi car for about 20-30 minutes on the phone, comes in the house barely acknowledges me and goes to sleep, plays with his phone and texts, or goes down stairs and plays videos game until he falls to sleep. gets back up in the morning about 4am and goes to work again. Why does my cell phone function more slowly as time progresses?

It's an LG Chocolate 2 VX8550 (Verizon Wireless) and I love it, but soon after I got it it started slowing down markedly, possibly around the time I added a 2GB microSD flash memory card, and is gradually slowing down more and more. By "slow down" I mean that all the basic operations, such as responding to keystrokes, take longer to complete. For example, when I'm somewhere in the menu system and I hit the "Power/End" key, nothing happens for about 1.5 seconds, much less instantaneous than the way it was a year ago. The phone otherwise functions perfectly and the battery is properly charged. I have about 200 photos, 12 videos, and 250 audio tracks, all on a 4GB microSD card, and I'm adding more all the time. Could the phone be slowing down because I am filling the card? Does the card need defragmentation and, if so, how might I do that?

Why wont my laptop let me play video clips?

I have a Fujitsu siemens laptop and i recorded videos from my phone and transferred them to my laptop and it wont let me play i have tried VLC media player and windows media player and VLC media player says: No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "samr". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Windows media player says : Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Does anyone have any ideas that might help and the video clips are not to long they are like 1min-2mins thanks to all who have help full answers
